Prayer Letter

January-February 2011

Dear Pastors and Praying Friends,

I hope this letter finds everyone well and not sick with the many “bugs” that seem to be going around.

Currently our family is well, though, we have experienced these seasonal sicknesses since out last letter.

Since the last letter when I asked prayer for Lisa, she has started being able to sleep without the use of any medications. Praise God! I want to thank those who prayed for this need. It was really starting to weigh heavily upon her, as well as the rest of the family. “When Mama ain’t feeling well, ain’t nobody feeling well” J .

I apologize for missing November and December with a letter. Much has been going on. As I wrote in my last letter my son Andrew left Dec. 7th for Coast Guard basic training in Cape May, NJ. He now has found out that he will be stationed in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. He is scheduled to graduate from basic training on January 28th. He seems to have handled the training well, but acknowledged that he misses his family, friends, and church family. I have contacted some churches in the area that he will be living in, and was encouraged by conversations that I had with several pastors, in hopes that he will find a solid church to attend once he settles. Please pray for him as he gets settled into daily Coast Guard responsibilities, for safety and that he will find a good church that he may serve in and be spiritually nourished by.

I also mentioned in my last letter that the Bible Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma had started supporting us. This was one of three churches that voted to support us. We also started receiving support from the Northgate Baptist Church in McAlester, OK, and the Gloryland Baptist Church in Hartshorne, OK.

I have not figured up where this puts us as far as a percentage of support yet. I am going to be contacting some churches we have not heard from in awhile to find out their future intentions before I refigure.

On January 15th we were privileged to attend and participate in our niece’s (Jordin Pleasant) wedding. She was married to Senior Airman Titus Keim, who is stationed in North Dakota. I was again reminded that we ought to hold up our servicemen in daily prayers for their dedicated service to our nation and the world. Pray for them as they start their new life together.

I would like to thank the churches for the cards and gifts that were sent at Christmas.

Please pray that we will fill our calendar with meetings and finish our deputation this year.

Pressing Toward the Mark,

Bro. Douglas Bell
