November 28, 2005 Dear Pastor: This letter is to serve two purposes: one, to introduce to the Doug Bell Family, Missionaries to Scotland; and secondly, to recommend Bro. Bell for mission support through you and your church. Bro. Bell has served here at Island Ford Baptist Church for the past fourteen years. He is employed full-time by WSOF Radio that is both owned and operated by Island Ford Baptist Church. I have found Bro. Bell to be faithful in all things and dedicated to his labors here in the ministry. He lives a sanctified separated life, having his wife in subjection and ruling his household well. His Bible doctrines have been studied closely by me, and I have found him to be sound in faith and practice. He has taught Sunday school for a number of years and has done and adequate job. I can highly recommend Bro. Bell and his family to your church for mission support. I honestly believe that he will exert himself fully while on the mission field to establish a Local Indigenous Baptist Church. His family is very talented, being both musically and vocally oriented. Any questions concerning Bro. Bell and his doctrine, character or conduct, I will be happy to answer. You can either write me at the above address or reach me by personal phone call. Again, I recommend this family very highly for your consideration for mission support.
Frankly forgiven, Gary L. Hall Psalm 84:11

Re: Bro. Doug Bell & Family Missionaries to Scotland
Dear Brother in Christ: January 2, 2006
The purpose of this letter is to recommend a dear Christian brother and his family for you to consider as a candidate for mission support, as they are endeavoring to go to the country of Scotland. First, let me introduce myself: I am Bro. Farrell Shepherd, I have pastored Vision Baptist Church (for 17 years January 29th of this year) and have encountered and supported numerous missionaries in this time. I first met Bro. Bell at his home Church (Island Ford Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY) at a Jubilee meeting in either 1994 or ’95. I well remember when we were first introduced, that he was down on his knees polishing another Preacher’s shoes. This was not simply a symbolical event, but a genuinely exhibition of the Christian service that I have seen in Bro. Bell’s life. Bro. Bell has been a stay and “scotch” for the ministries of Island Ford in the time that I have known him. I know that he has worked tirelessly at the WSOF FM Radio Station and at their Christian School, as well as leading the choir, running the sound, and many other jobs that I have observed. Bro. Bell is a talented singer, a Bible Preacher, and a humble family man. He has a family that seems to be endued with the same character of a servant that he has exhibited himself. His wife has shown herself to be “right by his side” at all times, and has shown her support and help to his work. Their children seem to be well-behaved and excited about serving the Lord. They also do a good job of singing as a family or in different groups of the family. I really believe Bro. Bell would make a good missionary/family that would be worthy of your support and prayers. I am convinced that he would be stable, dependable, hard-working, and honest in his endeavors to further the cause of Christ. Bro. Bell also has the benefit of having a solid, strong, and supportive home Church behind him that is pastured by Bro. Gary Hall (who happens to also be Bro. Bell’s father-in-law). I believe that this very beneficial to a quality mission’s outreach.
Thank you very much and may God bless your as you serve Him,
Sincerely loving and serving our Lord Jesus Christ,
Pastor Farrell Shepherd VISION BAPTIST CHURCH 397 Little Buck Lane Millers Creek, NC 28651 Sunlight Baptist Church P. O. Box 217 Hwy. 66S Kernersville, NC 27284 Dr. Don Anderson, Pastor (336) 591 7674
Dear Pastor Friends,
Greetings in Jesus’ name the name above every name.
I’m writing today of behalf of Bro. Doug Bell who has recently surrendered to go to the mission field.
I have known Bro. Doug over 10 years and can highly recommend him to your church and mission program. Bro. Doug is a long time member of the Island Ford Baptist Church in Madisonville, KY where Dr. Gary Hall is the pastor and serves on the staff of WSOF Radio. Since I have known Bro. Doug and his wife Lisa I have found them to be sincere servants of the Lord always faithful and always loyal. They are laboring to raise their children for the Lord and have encouraged them by word and example to become very active in the church. This is the kind of family that a church would like to support of the mission field. I have always believed a good follower will make a good leader and in that case this man will be a tremendous leader on the foreign soil. Please do consider the Bell family in your mission budget.
In Christ, Dr. Don Anderson Sunlight Baptist Church P.O. Box 217, Hwy 66 S. Kernersville, NC 27052
