Prayer LetterJuly-August 2009 Dear Pastors and Praying Friends, As I said in my last letter, my grandmother was near death. Well her home going happened on June 23rd as my mother, brother, sister, son, and myself looked on. This is the second time I have watched someone die. The peace that was felt in our hearts, knowing that by her life and testimony, she was in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, was priceless. I had part in preaching the funeral services on June 25th and we headed home to Kentucky on June 29th. We have spent most of July re-grouping and making phone calls trying to fill our calendar for the rest of the year and into the first part of 2010. We have scheduled meetings all the way into March of next year, but the calendar is by no means full. Please help us pray that each Sunday morning, Sunday night, and mid-week service will be filled to keep us on the road that we might see the goal of reaching souls and planting churches in Scotland, come true. August will find us in meetings in Tennessee and Kentucky. This includes the Mission’s Jubile in our home church. I would like to take this part of my letter to thank the Ridgeview Baptist Church (my mother’s home church) as well the Island Ford Baptist Church (my home church) for the extra offerings to help with the expenses of my grandmother’s funeral. She was underinsured and these offerings saved us much expense by allowing us to purchase the casket from a retail outlet instead of the funeral home. May God richly bless you all. Pressing Toward the Mark, Bro. Douglas Bell P.S. Thank you for your prayers and continued support! Archived Prayer Letters (Click Button To View)
