Prayer Letter

December 2007

Dear Praying Friends,

Much has been happening in our lives, to God be the glory!

Since our last prayer letter we have traveled to churches in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Kentucky. We were blessed during these travels in each church we visited. One church was used by God to give us an offering that was enough to pay off the loan for our Suburban. This along with the promise of two, possibly three more supporting churches, and the Concord Baptist Church in Fairmount, GA taking us on, makes going full time much easier.

To address our going full time, I mentioned in our last letter that we would be going full time in December. This is a fact. December 21st will be my last day working for WSOF Christian Radio and the Island Ford Baptist Church. I have served in this capacity for 16 years 2 months, so you can understand that it will be a sad time for me.  I have already begun to hear from listeners, comments of how my life touched theirs during my time in this ministry. It humbles me, yet brings me joy to know that I have been used of God to minister to many people during my tenure at WSOF. I believe my time in this ministry has been a training ground for the work that God has for me in Scotland, and have found my years in this ministry most rewarding. (I would like to thank Pastor Hall and my church family for the love you have shown my family through the years, and the love and support you are showing to us as we are sent out from you to go to the mission field.) .  Please pray for Bro. Hall and our church as they seek God’s will in staffing solutions, as I depart.

In light of my going full time, I have gotten a Post Office Box for my personal mail.

My NEW Mailing Address is:

P. O. BOX 831

MADISONVILLE, KY 42431

We will also be disconnecting our home phone and strictly using our cell phones to conduct our business. This will cut another expense for us.

My Cell Phone number is (270) 875-9367.

Please remember to send our support to our Church address listed on the left side of this letter.

Our grandson Logan that was premature 6 weeks is doing great! His birth weight was 4 lb. 4 oz., and at his last weigh in he was 8 lb. 3 oz.! (I guess he eats like his Papaw.)

Please pray for open doors, and that our support will pick up quickly in 2008. Pray also for safety and traveling mercies. The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, we traveled three hours from home and seen two accidents going, and two accidents returning home.

May God richly bless you all for your prayers and support!

Have a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!

Your Missionary to Scotland,

Bro. Douglas Bell
